The name is pronounced "NESS-hime," with emphasis on the first syllable "NESS" and the second syllable "hime" which rhymes with “time”. It’s Norwegian.
As noted on the About page, I have >30 years of comprehensive experience doing this kind of work in many different settings and situations. There is very little that I have not seen or done in the contexts described. That said, I am a consummate professional who will always put your needs first. This kind of work is not for everyone. But if you are a looking to transform and grow, then I can help. Primarily the "why" is the development and activation of a plan that is propelled by the Socratic Method to achieve exceptional results. Fully employed, these "means" deliver exceptional "ends" for my clients.
Engagement starts with a conversation between your decision makers and myself. Together we briefly explore opportunities for improvement. We discuss current and future states and actions to carry us from today into tomorrow.
Based on the conversation I draw up a proposal for how we might proceed. If the decision is to proceed, then a schedule of activities, outcomes and measurements are provided. From there, plans are activated, evaluated and institutionalized.
I refer to this term often. The Socratic Method is a discovery and learning process that involves asking questions to stimulate critical thinking, self reflection and exploration of underlying assumptions; all leading to delivering exceptional results. I feature it throughout this website because it is the primary way that we would approach this work together.
For now I charge hourly rates for "contact" time. Contact time is the time spent working directly on your project(s). Rates are competitive with other boutique HR consulting firms. Please contact me for more details. Travel, if necessary, would be reimbursed. If our engagement goes long term, then we can discuss charges by project, which are simpler and more flexible for everyone.
Time commitments are dependent on the services and outcomes that we decide upon. Leadership coaching typically involves a few hours spread out over a few weeks.
Organizational consulting projects range from several days to several months. Group facilitations are typically a few hours to a few days depending on goals.
ROI is decided by the client and the consultant before any work begins. Measurements can range from short term time usage to long term effects. Other measurements could be: boutique consulting fees compared to large consulting firms, cost of an internal consultant vs an external, revenue or profit gained as a result of the work, and any growth improvements attributable to the work. Due to the varied factors of these services, ROI should always be discussed prior to any engagement.
I’d encourage a free 30 minute sample session where you can see the value for yourself. Sample sessions can be question and answer discussions that are hypothetical or real, or an actual delivery of a service such as coaching. Prior to a sample session we would identify an opportunity to discuss the experience so we can be efficient with our time.
